To the Beach Haul

Okay Finnally getting to my 'To the Beach' haul. I only even made time to MAC because I was helping my friend pick up the last few things for her wedding and suggested we go grab a BJ at the Mall, Oh and Hey, While were here lets just pop into MAC ;) haha. Im not sure how much longer I will have internet. By that I mean Im not positive when I will be getting my internet hooked up at our new place. Not soon enough, but I will *FINNALLY* Have my own makeup area to use!! YAY! Cant wait to be out of this tiny apartment! I need to get my brows done before I get any major looks done, they are awful!! lol This week for sure!

Anywho, Heres the haul. Since I still have a realtively small collection I didnt have much similar to anything that came out, so it was all exciting to me!! It seems most people who didnt get much was because they had similar stuff.

Pretty in Purple

I know I fail at blogging, but I really have had alot going on. Works slowed down alot for me. Now I just need to focus on packing to move, but I will do anything to get away from packing lol. The only good thing about moving will be my own makeup area!!! YAY for owning our own place!! I have been doing alot of looks and have quite a bit to post. Some I have looked back on and been less then impressed and disregarded, BUT there is stuff to come!

I did this one night when the boyfriend was at hockey and was feelign inspired and came up with this. I've been trying to do more with blending, to get practice cuz I feel like Im a weak blender so to speak. Im not a good kitchen aid, just a cheap walmart special...hahaha SO CORNY SORRY! lol.Anyways, hope you likey.

Hello lovelies,
Here is the first of a few looks to come! I have been feeling inspired! Yay! Such a great feeling again!
I was feeling like doing something a bit dramatic the other day,so this is waht I came up with. I know the only well lit area I can take pics kinda washes out the color but you can get the idea!Hopefully this lighting situation is figured out soon when we find somewhere to live!! Im thinking of maybe getting a new camera with my airmiles. I have enough to get the new Cannon Rebel TSXI or whatever it is. But then there is the Cannon vs Nikon question...hmmm...ramble,ramble ramble lol. I even put on fake lashes for this look! I forget the name of them so thats why they arnt listed! I definately need more I only have some uber fancy ones left that Im kind of saving for something special (I dont know what that is exactly yet).

Yes I am still alive!!

So boy oh boy, have I failed epic-ly at blogging!!! Heres the update!


I am LOVING my new job! But its been so busy, spring is the crazy season, so I am swamped. Usually working like 14 hour days, 6 Days a week!! So needless to say, work is lucky if I swipe on mascara for work. But my schedule is changing so I wont start so early in the morning, so that will be great. Hopefully I can manage to pump a few work looks out now.


Second comes the house hunt, and by house I mean condo/townhouse. We have spent the last two weekends in any free time my boyfriend and I had in finding a place. Our lease expires the end of June, and rent will go up. To us it makes more sense to buy something and have our money going into something, rather then right out the window. If all goes well, this journey will be ending really soon. And I shall leave it at that until I have more news to share.


Thats really been it. Work and house hunting!!! I have a stockpile of looks on my computer that I *Finally* uploaded!! So expect some blog posts soon. I am going to get back into this.





I will leave you with this. If you remember about 2 months ago, I was off to do something that I had never done in my whole life. That I had been putting off for 26 years!! Well here it is!
I got my ears pierced!!! I wanted to wait until I could put in the diamond earring my BF got me for my 25th Birthday a year ago!! They are beautiful!! Im so happy I can wear them finnally!!!

I hate coming up with titles sometimes lol

My first apology will be that I did this when I was sick so my eyes are super red!! But get used to it, thats how my eyes look through most of the spring due to allergies anyways lol. And second of all, I know I am a total poser in the last pic lol, but I like it anyways!
Im getting excited for things to come, with my new position, the Bf's birthday next week, and the things that will be falling into place this year!!! Life is good!! Positive energy will bring you so much!!!
On that note, I'd like everyone to send my friend's Bro Texis all the positive energy, he was in a accident on the weekend and has massive head injuries. Hes pulled through a 6 hour surgery, and is now in a induced coma! Its been a really terrible past week as far as people I know back home. A girl I used to play volleyball against quite often passed away, and a girl my BF went to highschool with was killed in a car accident. So Im hoping some positivity will help out Texis!!

I have indeed been away forever, and I apologise. I went back to BC for a while, then it was back to work. Then I got a promotion, and am training on my days off, then I got knocked on my butt sick. Im finnally forcing myself to make time to get back into the routine!
If you look very very closely (its hard to notice in this picture) you will be able to see what I had put off for 26 years. I will post a better picture in my next post as I have a few lined up!! So I can hopefully between reviews/nails/looks and a mini haul coming, will have a post a few times in a week!!!

Well, I first did this look saturday, but I recieved some bad news about my grandma and it made me cry and ruin it all. She is now doing okay, there is no need for tears, so I re-created this look. I get to fly home this weekend and visit my family and 2 baby cousins. One is a boy, hes about 7 months now, and One will be 2 weeks old when I get to meet her!! I am a big present buyer, I love shopping for people and getting gifts, so I naturally went baby clothes shopping!! I thought a baby blusey with a hint of purple'ish would work! I am hating my camera, it washes out the colors so much...I need to figure something out. Weather it be lighting, a new camera, or what...but I can never seem to get my makeups true colors in any pictures...more washed out pictures. Tomorrow, I will show you what I have put of for 26 years that I finnally managed to do.

Gold Meal Look...Red(ish) lips for Canada!!!

I know, I know...I'm failing miserably with the blogging routine. I just struggle with getting up earlier to do my makeup at 5am. I cannot wait to start my new shift, I just dont know when that will happen!!

Anyways, as you may or may not know, I am a DIE HARD (and that even may be an understatement) Hockey Fan!!! And watching the Gold Medal Game against the USA almost gave me a heart attack. I was shaking, my heart was racing the whole time. When Syd scored, I was in tears!! My hubby (Jarome Iginla) set it up, which made me so so excited) ! I am just so proud to be Canadian! Our athletes are outstanding, and I am so sad that the Olympics are over!!! I think Vancouver did an excellent job putting this together (with the exception of the awful closing ceremonies)

So for the big game, I decided a bit of a patriotic look was in order. Unlike the World Junior Game I went to on New Years Eve (Full out red and white eyeshadow...I should recreate and post) , and because we were just watching the game at home, I decided to do a neautral look with Red lip. Because we were at home (I did go mail Shayla's Package and bought some beer before the game) I didnt want to go full out ass kicking red, but opted for a bit of a softer shade, that I really love.

Im back yay! With no pink eye woop woop!!! It has been the longest past 2 weeks in a long time!! I worked 11 of 12 days, and each day was 12 hours (thats my regular shift), so Im so freaken happy to be on days off, and that they actually fall on a weekend!!

Things have been pretty low key for me, been watching alot of Olympics, and my heart beats with Canadian Pride more and more every day!! My bf's sister is in Vancouver right now taking in the festivities and Im super jelous! I wish I could be there to take it in!! She Met Scott Hamilton and Michelle Kwan earlier today!! How freaken cool is that! And one of my good friends was there to witness Canada win thier first Olympic Gold!!! My biggest passion I cant lie is hockey though. Lastnights game had me so mad though. We have a team full of NHL athletes and we still can put the puck in the net?!? AHHH! SO FRUSTRATING! I know this is not a blog about hockey, so sorry for venting haha! I hope we come together for the next game! This week I also went to an Arbonne Party!! Their products quite interest me. I tried their most popular anti aging line I recieved samples FC9 and I cannot belive how great my skin felt, but I am really not needing anti aging products yet, I think if I can keep my skin young and healthy now before I even need that. So I bought the FC5 clenser and night cream to start. I will review when I get it. I did win a hand cream from the fc5 line as a door prize and it smells like a fruit explosion on my hands, almost like a fruitopia commercial! Smells sooooo yummy. Anyways, I will review that when it comes in!!

I felt like playing today, and Im actually quite happy with what I came up with today!! Bright blues!!! Maybe its because I've been dreaming of blue ocean water!!!! I wanted a bright blue look! Here you go!

Long time no post...sorry :(

Okay, I apologise for being MIA over the last week. First I was back on shift and that leaves me no time for anything fun or makeup related 5am doesnt bring me alot of motivation for makeup. Then I got asked to work some OT shift, which works for me cuz it helps me with a little extra funding for my budget and that will eventually leave me with a bit more to play with makeup wise!! AND THEN, I got pink eye. FML. No makeup for me for awhile. I got meds finnally though, and in one day its cleared up alot. So I figure by next week sometime I should be good to go.

Get Fit Feb!

So as you may or may not know I've decided to make this 'Get Fit February" and Shayla decided to jump on Board too!! Woop Woop! We kinda decided that we would document everything in our blogs, as a way to keep track of what were doing and motiveate eachother too. It all started when I decided towards the end of January that I was going to try and break my Coke Habit!! It was a brutal weeek getting over it, now I just have on occasion (1 a week maybe). Then, my boyfriend and I decided to get rid of all the crappy food in our place for the most part. We literally threw out all the bad stuff (with the exception of some chocolate I am not willing to give up for occasions ;) haha ) in our cubboards! We had been making an effort to not eat as much junk, but now were pretty much eliminating it! Again we are not depriving ourselves of things, but for the most part eating a healthy balanced diet! We have also both been making an effort to go to the gym. at first I had a hard time getting motivation to get myself physically to the gym, once I was there I was fine...just the act off getting to the gym was hard, now 2 weeks in and Im pretty much dragging the BF there.
Last Week this was my routine Feb 2nd Cardio5 min warmup on treadmill, 1 hour intervals up to level 16 on the elliptical...once at 16 I'd bust it for about 4 minutes then back to 2 resistance and up to 16 again. then 5 min cool down on treadmill. Feb 3rd.5 min warmup, 20 minutes 8% incline on treadmill. then upperbody stregth routin. Feb 4th.I was pretty sore from working out and the chirpractor. So a lowerbody pilates video. Feb 5th.5 mins warmup on treadmill, 40 min intervals on treadmill up to 12% incline (highest it goes). Then upperbody stregth training again.

Im not gonna lie, since I got back on shift I havent done hardly anything! =( Its so hard to work 12 hour days and have the engery after to go to the gym! And I feel emotionally drained lately, I dont know what it is, maybe winter blues. One night me and the BF went for a half hour walk outside in the cold! Thats it, but Tomorrow Im going to definately get up and do pilates before work. And then after work Im going to go to the gym in the evening and bust out my agressions from my work shift. Then its my weekend! YAY!

Boo Back to work for me tomorrow!! *sigh* only two more shifts then Im off weekends for another 4 weeks!!!

There is only two pictures for todays post due to a reaction on my skin. I started using the Revlon Photo Ready Foundation and a Vichy clenser/exfoliant at the same time. My skin is finiky, and reacts to things sometimes. I wasnt sure which it was, but after taking a break from the foundation and using the clenser only my skin is clearing up. So a smuch as I loved Photo Ready, its going into my no-no pile!! Darn it. I need to get to a Sephora (maybe when I visit Edmonton sometime soon hopefully!!) to try MUFE HD!!! There is nowhere here that sells it.

I simply just love days off!! For more reasons even then not being at work, although that is a HUGE part of it. I love being able to not get out of bed at 4:30 am, I love being able to work out at the gym every morning, I love having the time to put on my makeup. I do not love Meeko thinking that 4am is when we should get up though and meowing to let us know...nope, not a fan at all!

I think today were heading to the mall, check to see if the new collection is out or not. We only have a MAC counter at the Bay here though, so its hard to say. Half the time I go in there and ask questions I know more about whats coming out then they do. Then they ask me how I know all of this lol! Last week I was there to buy Violet Trance as mine is MIA. They were sold out, of course cuz they hardly have anything in stock it seems, but I saw this Mineralized shadow combo in Odd Couple and thought I'd give it a go. Heres how it turned out.

Another every day look

So I'm finding it *super* hard to blog on the days I work, 12 hour days make it tuff. Im going to try and make a better effort to though as part of my "Get Fit February" (more to come about that in my next blog). I plan on getting up earlier to do pilates and then have a few extra minutes to add to my makeup.

I'm complete jelous of everyones huge hauls from the new collection. Unfortunately for me I have impliment myself on a budget and a huge hauld definately isnt in the plan right now. I am lemming a few lippies though, which is new to me, as lippies are not what I usually go for. We will see what I end up actually getting though.

I also played with my camera a bit to try and take some better pictures with more true colors, so let me know if you think it made any difference.
